MASTER DENTAL is committed to protecting your privacy. In accordance with the amendments to the Privacy Act 1988, which came into effect on 21 December 2001, we comply with the National Privacy Principles set out in the Act. This policy outlines how to manage the privacy protection of your personal information.

To enable us to fulfil our responsibilities as cosmetic dentists, we need to collect names, dates of birth, address, medical history etc. We use this information to identify patients and for medical and dental purposes.

We will also use this information to send you details of other products and services that may be of interest to you. At any time, if you longer wish to receive this additional marketing material, let us know, and we will remove your details from our direct marketing database.

We collect the information in person, in writing, by telephone, through our website, and through other electronic communication channels. Our telephone conversation may be recorded for quality assurance. We collect this information through our staff and our contracted agents, and other service providers.

We may need to ask you or others, e.g., family members, and medical doctors, further questions to reassure you that your medical history will not interfere with your dental treatment.

Wherever practicable, we will ask you for the information. However, we may need to contact your employers, business associates, bankers, credit reference agencies and referees.

Unless we are required to provide your personal information to others by law, court order, or investigate suspected fraud or other unlawful activity, your information will only be seen or used by persons working in or for MASTER DENTAL.

These people will include our own and our contracted dentists or employees.

Our information systems and files are kept secured from unauthorised access. Our staff contracted agents, and service providers have been informed of the importance of protecting your privacy and their role in helping us do this.

Subject to any legal restrictions, we would be happy to advise you what personal information we hold about you if you request this. There may be some cost to you in providing this information if your request is complex or requires detailed searching of our records.

If you believe there are errors in our records about you, please let us know, and we will be happy to investigate and correct any inaccuracies.
